Recent tests performed by the guys at GSMArena have found that Samsung’s own Exynos 8890 CPU version outlasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 version in terms of battery life.
The S7 Edge comes with a beefy 3600mAh battery which is a sizeable improvement in comparison with last year’s 2550mAh S6 and even the 3000mAh Note 5. The comparison tests found that the Exynos version of the Galaxy S7 Edge lasted 98 hours with an ‘always-on’ time of 67 hours.
The Snapdragon 820 version lasted 87 hours with an ‘always-on’ time of 63 hours. That’s quite a big difference really – 11 and 4 hours respectively.
Either version should easily last you through the whole day even if you are a heavy user however it’s always nice to have that extra bit of juice.
